The phone boasts of flawless viewing angles, however, I feel Tecno should have incorporated an HD screen to back up the claim.

Remember that I mentioned the camera as one of the Pros of the Boom J8, right?
Well, let's see if it is true.
The Tecno J8 has a 13MP at the back with Auto Focus and LED Flash which is positioned by the camera. In addition, the camera's, coupled with the flash are designed to take pictures even in low light areas.
The front selfie camera spots a 5MP which is an improvement on the J7's 2MP camera
Overall, the camera of the phone is impressive and if you would whip out your wallet to buy the Boom J8, I promise you wouldn't regret it.
PERFORMANCE, OS & SOFTWARE
Inside the heart of the smartphone lies the ultra-fast quad-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. More so, the J8 processor is clocked at 1.3GHz.
Since the phone lacks an HD display, Tecno, on their part did great to use a Mali-T720 graphics resolution. As It helps the phone to display scenic colors on the screen.
In the storage category, the Boom J8 carries a 2GB RAM making it better than the J7 at 1GB of RAM.
Finally, the phone runs the Android v5 lollipop.

Judging from the above Tecno J8 specifications, we can deduce that the Boom J8 is an improved version of the boom J7. The smartphone design has changed, the user interface has also been made fluid while the RAM has been increased to 2GB.
The Tecno J8 has a 5.5 inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. According to Tecno, the display was optimized to save battery. The volume and power buttons are on the right hand side, with the charging port and speakers both at the bottom to give the Tecno J8 an aesthetic feel.
